I HAVE SHARP IMPLEMENTS OF DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*ahem*

I should probably start from the beginning, huh? I went to the ren faire today. It's a kind of small one; the big faire isn't until September. This was the second year for this one here, and it's really fun because of the fact that there's an actual castle in our small little burg. ^_^

So my mom and I get there, and the first thing we do is sit and watch some singing pirates. Yes, I said singing pirates. After that, we went and wandered around the booths. More specifically, we wandered the booths with weapons.

You have to understand something. I've wanted to own a sword for as long as I can remember. Since a friend of one of my brother's brought one to our house to show us. I was like...seven. So I've been waiting eleven long years to be able to buy a sword of my own. Today was my day. I went to the faire expecting not to get any thing, and I ended up leaving with TWO! One's a short sword, definitely meant for piercing, and the other's a long dagger. They're absolutely beautiful. The sword was $25, the dagger $10. So I am now the owner of TWO shinies for $35! Eeee!

Ahem, anyway.

We did some more wandering, then sat to watch some more minstrels. That was fun. Then there was this guy selling little circle...flute...things, and he said "They're digital." Get it? Fingers are digits, and you use them to play it...Digital? Yeah, I had to explain it to my mom, too. More amusement for everyone.

Then I watched a wedding. That was really neat. The table was set up in front of the castle. There was a small band to the side, playing instruments that...yeah, I have no clue what they were, either. Can't even describe them.

Then there was some more wandering.

Then I went to Pike School. They had like...really long wooden sticks for the pikes and stuff. Marched us around in circles. Showed us stances. At the end of it, get a certificate of graduation. Only problem is, I'm a Pike School dropout. You heard me. It was really warm out, and I haven't been doing too well with being out in the heat for very long lately. So, we're standing there, and he's telling us about the history of pike ranks and stuff. I started getting dizzy, so I handed my pike to someone and sat out. If I had stood there any longer, I would have literally dropped out. Not my idea of a good time.

Then we watched some sword fighting. And there was one guy, the like...ring leader person...holy FAWK was he hot. Muahahaha. He moved a bale of hay into the shade for my mom and I to sit. ^_^ So we watched them fight, listened to them banter, was generally entertained. There was a jester there, too. Lots of jokes about wood, because of some of the weapons used. XD They pulled off the jester's hat at one point, and he had ribbons tied into his hair! Really, really colorful ribbons that looked like pony tails. After words, my mom and I both gave the troupe $5, and the really hot guy kissed my hand. He didn't kiss my mom's hand, but he kissed my hand. Heeeee.

As we were leaving, we walked by the guy selling the flutes again. A little girl darted in front of us, and he said "Watch out for the goddesses." Hehehe. Then he looked at me and he's like "Look at that. You can even see it through her glasses. There's just something about a woman's eyes when she has cold steel in her hands. The look is both arousing and dangerous."

I left with a goofy grin on my face.

All in all, a VERY good day! ^____^
